Overview

The AES EL00C-RAD-KT is a commercial wireless vehicle detection kit that operates in presence mode with added radar protection. The surface-mounted e-Loop uses a magnetometer to detect approaching vehicles and sends each detection to a nearby transceiver for gate activation. Once a vehicle is detected, the e-Loop switches to radar, which can confirm a vehicle that has stopped on top of the unit.

How It Works

When the magnetometer detects an approaching vehicle, the transceiver relay latches and sends a confirmation back to the e-Loop. If the magnetic field falls below the set threshold, the radar checks whether a vehicle is still present. If none is found, an unlatch command is sent to the relay and the transceiver confirms it. If a confirmation is missed, the system retries several times to keep operation safe. Two-way radio communication between the e-Loop and transceiver keeps the link reliable.

Radar settings are adjusted with the e-diagnostics remote, including dead zone, sensor distance, sensitivity, magnetic field release level, and confirmation mode.

Note: The gate or door controller must have a dedicated open input and auto-close enabled.

• Radar: 60° field of view; minimum read distance 0.2 m (about 8 in), default 1.8 m (about 5.9 ft), maximum up to 2 m (about 6.6 ft)
