Overview
The Linear SGEKAC is a monitored AC gate edge radio kit designed for use with automatic gate openers. The kit includes one SGET transmitter, one SGER receiver, and one SGACsens sensor. In a typical installation, the SGET is mounted on a motorized gate, door, or barrier arm and wired to a 10K exterior safety edge sensor, which presents a closed circuit across the connecting wires when an object is contacted during the closing of a gate.
Each transmitter is pre-set at the factory to a unique code — no coding switches are used. The receiver is programmed by sending a signal from the transmitter(s) to be used, storing their codes into memory. The receiver retains its memory even without power and will activate only from memorized transmitters.
The SGACsens AC sensor reliably detects AC motor activation by being in close proximity to — but not electrically connected to — an active motor feed wire.
