BD Loops RL 18-40 is a preformed direct burial vehicle detection loop designed for dependable operation in concrete pours and underground installations. The loop features an 18’ perimeter and fits a 3x6 or 4x5 loop pattern, with a 40 ft lead-in for routing back to the loop detector. The rigid loop section is constructed using solid 16 AWG copper wire, allowing it to maintain proper placement during installation without shifting below rebar. A durable outer jacket tightly binds and protects the conductors for long-term reliability. This design minimizes air pockets that can contribute to phantom detections caused by ground vibration. Each loop is tested multiple ways before leaving the factory to ensure dependable performance.
