Warranty Policy
SEAT is a distributor. The products we sell are covered by their manufacturers' warranties, not by a separate SEAT warranty. We help you submit warranty claims to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer decides whether a claim is covered.
Manufacturer Warranties
Each manufacturer sets its own warranty length, coverage and claim rules. These terms differ by brand and product, and they are found in the product's documentation or on the manufacturer's website. Many manufacturers also require that a product be installed by a trained professional and registered to be covered.
SEAT makes no warranties of its own, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. See our Terms of Sale.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
- Call the manufacturer's technical support line first. Many manufacturers require a troubleshooting call and a ticket or case number before they will review a claim. Our Warranty Support page lists manufacturer tech support contacts.
- Submit an RMA request using our online RMA Submission form. Include the product, serial number, invoice or order number, the manufacturer ticket number, a description of the problem, and photos if you have them.
- Send the product back using our instructions. We will either provide a return label or tell you how to ship the product back yourself. Return shipping is at your expense in either case.
- The manufacturer evaluates the product and decides whether it is covered.
A ticket number does not mean a product is covered. Coverage is unknown until the manufacturer evaluates the product, even if it is within the warranty period. Please do not promise your customer a free repair or replacement until the claim is approved.
Possible Outcomes
- Covered: the manufacturer repairs or replaces the product, or issues credit, as its warranty allows.
- Not covered: the product may be returned to you, repaired at your cost if the manufacturer offers repair, or disposed of. Evaluation fees and return freight charged by the manufacturer are passed on to you.
What Warranties Usually Do Not Cover
- Labor, service calls, travel and installation or removal costs.
- Damage from lightning, power surges, flooding, insects, accidents, misuse or improper installation.
- Products that were altered, repaired by others, or used with incompatible parts.
- Normal wear, such as batteries, belts and other consumable parts, unless the manufacturer's warranty says otherwise.
Check each manufacturer's warranty for its exact terms.
